I have a IG with select Itemno, ItemName, Rate, Qty from itemMaster. Also I have added a column AMT using Rate * Qty.
Now, I want to add another column as GST based on AMT * (select gstpct from gstmaster where item = itemno)
how can I do?

Do the right-click on any of your IG columns then select Add column and set its source type to the SQL expression and add the following expression in it:
AMT * (select gstpct from gstmaster where item = itemno)
Saiyed
It doesn't work. If I change above query with RATE (Which is directly fetched from table) it works fine. AMT is calculated column which doesn't work.
Is there any my mistake?
As Vinish said you can follow the same. but only change is, replace AMT as Rate * Qty.
the new column will be

It shall work but my surprise is that why I can not use AMT?
in this case AMT is derived by very simple formula (Rate * QTY), if it is long/complicated PL/SQL then what?
Is there any idea?
Hey Saiyed,
Can you please share your grid query?
