You can do a lot in APEX without ever submitting a page, but occasionally a solution requires you to perform a "Submit Page" action. I haven't yet found a definition of what happens when a page is submitted. Can anyone point to an explanation?

When we submit the page/form, several GET and POST requests happen in between.
The GET request gets the data from the server, and the POST request sends the data to the server.
