I have explained this in the following post:
Error handling function example in Oracle Apex
Swarup
I have created the function as mentioned in the post and i have assigned Error Handling Function:error_handling in the application But also i am get the error as same as previous.

Your database table should have a primary key or unique key constraint. So check if it exists or not, else create a unique constraint on the table.
Also, why don't you apply validations to prevent such situations?
You can check the following post:
PL/SQL validations returning error text
Swarup
Please check this is anything i left form my end
Vinish Kapoor
You have the primary key C_CID in the form right? So try to turn off the Primary key setting in Apex page for the Volunteer_ID column and then test.
Swarup
Previously it was in off state (Volunteer_ID) then also its not working
Vinish Kapoor
I have just tested this, and it is working fine:
Also, have you specified the function name for error handling, as shown below?
Swarup
Yes sir,as shown in your post same to same without any changes
1.i have Created the function as mentioned in ur post
2. In application I have mention error_handling

I would suggest you create validation for the fields to give the appropriate error messages.
Check the following link: Check for a field value uniqueness using validation in Oracle Apex.
Swarup
This Works fine sir thank u.
But error handling
Step 1: I executed the function that u have mentioned in the sqlworkshop->sql commands
step 2: In the application i have mentioned the error_handing in the Error Handling function.
Anything i left plz guide me sir.
Thanks in advance

I can't say what is missing from your side, but I would suggest using validations instead of that function because it is not easy to implement.
